CANBERRA SPIRITUALIST ASSOCIATION OBJECTIVES
To maintain a Spiritualist church in Canberra
To promote the philosophy of Spiritualism
To provide spiritual counselling, guidance, healing and upliftment to all who are in need of any of these and who request guidance and healing
To promote the growth of the brotherhood of man without discrimination and in accordance with ACT legislation, currently the Discrimination Act 1991 (ACT)
To promote the study and understanding of Spiritualist philosophy, practices and psychic sciences
To provide a meeting point for all people interested in any aspect of Spiritualist philosophy and psychic sciences
SEVEN PRINCIPLES OF SPIRITUALISM
As Spiritualists, we are guided by the Seven Principles of Spiritualism which were formulated in 1871 through the mediumship of Emma Hardinge Britten and received from the great reformer of his time, Robert Owen.
1. The Fatherhood of God
2. The Brotherhood of Man
3. The Communion of Spirit and Ministry of Angels
4. The continuous existence of the Human Soul
5. Personal Responsibility
6. Compensation and retribution hereafter for all the good and evil deeds done on earth
7. The Path of Eternal progress is open to all who wish to tread it
WHO WE ARE
The Canberra Spiritualist Association is a not for profit Spiritualist Association run by volunteers, incorporated in 1975.
